NIS - Brief History

The process of securing the license to establish and operate Nigeria International School, Jeddah (NISJ), started in 2018. The founder, Engr. Abdulkadir Maikudi's vision was to provide both British and Nigerian curricula designed to fulfil the educational needs of Nigerian students in Jeddah, as well as the entire region.

NISJ began its operations in September 2021 with 40 students, 7 teachers, and 5 non-teaching staff. However, over the past 3 years, the school has experienced significant growth, which is largely attributable to the increasing number of Nigerian expertriates in Jeddah.

The school has also gained recognition from credible international organisations, including the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Today, NISJ is a thriving international school, offering a comprehensive and unique educational opportunity to students from diverse backgrounds.

The school's long-term goal is to be a leading international school in Jeddah, known for its academic excellence, innovative teaching and learning methods, and an unrelenting commitment to student development.
